FORAN V60: Comprehensive CAD/CAM Marine Design Software

FORAN V60 is a legacy version of the renowned CAD/CAM system for the complete design and production of ships, developed by SENER (Spain). First previewed at Nor-Shipping in June 2005 , the V60 series represented a major advance in shipbuilding technology, introducing revolutionary hull structure definition methods, a new interactive 3D environment for cable and equipment layout, and powerful production information tools .

This version was a significant commercial success for SENER, being adopted by major shipyards and engineering firms worldwide. Notable users included Navantia (for the S-80 submarine project) Babcock Marine (for the Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carrier), BAE Systems (over 300 users) , and Drydocks World (for semi-submersible rig hulls) .

FORAN V60 was succeeded by FORAN V70 (introduced in 2010) and later V80, with subsequent versions adding 64-bit architecture, enhanced replication capabilities, and new general arrangement modules
