GEXCEL Reconstructor 4.5.0 is a powerful multi-sensor, multi-resolution software platform for processing and managing 3D point cloud data from various sources, including terrestrial, mobile, airborne, and SLAM-based LiDAR scanners, as well as UAV and photogrammetry surveys . The software handles the complete workflow from automatic scan registration and georeferencing to creating high-resolution 3D models, meshes, orthophotos, and CAD deliverables.
Reconstructor was initially introduced in 2007 and has been continuously developed, with the last major update in 2024 . It integrates seamlessly with HERON SLAM systems (Gexcel’s proprietary handheld SLAM solution) as well as scanners from FARO, RIEGL, Z+F, Leica, Trimble, Topcon, Teledyne-Optech, and many others .
Version 4.5.0 is the latest release in the 4.x series, following version 4.0 (which introduced new online help documentation) . The software is actively incorporating AI and automation technologies to progressively reduce manual workload for surveyors and engineers
