Capital Electra 2210: Professional Electrical CAD Software

Capital Electra 2210 (formerly known as Electra E9) is a legacy, on-premise (offline) version of the cloud-native Capital Electra X electrical CAD software . It was developed by Radica Software (acquired by Siemens in 2022) and served as the installable, Windows-based predecessor to the modern browser-based Capital X Panel Designer.

Unlike traditional complex ECAD tools, Capital Electra was built on the Microsoft Visio platform, offering a highly intuitive and familiar interface. This design choice allowed electrical engineers to create professional schematics and panel layouts with minimal training, while leveraging powerful automation features typically found in expensive enterprise software. It was widely used in over 50 countries before being superseded by the cloud-native version.
